KD One uses the highest grade of Vitamin E Natural Source 1300IU

Posted on 24 April 2015

KD One uses the highest grade of Vitamin E Natural Source 1300IU  (it is so rich and looks like Golden Syrup).  The primary function of vitamin E is as an antioxidant, which is very important,  in our present-day society with widespread pollution, processed food diets, and chemical exposure. Vitamin E is protective because it helps reduce oxidation of lipid membranes and the unsaturated fatty acids and prevents the breakdown of other nutrients by oxygen. This protective, nutritional antioxidant function is also performed and enhanced by other antioxidants, such as vitamin C, beta-carotene, glutathione (L-cysteine), and the mineral selenium.

Vitamin E, as its various tocopherol forms, is found in both plant and animal foods. In general, the animal sources of E are fairly poor, with some being found in butter, egg yolk, milk fat, and liver. The best sources of vitamin E are the vegetable and seed or nut oils. It was first isolated from wheat germ oil, which is still a commonly used, rich source of vitamin E.

The antioxidant function gives vitamin E a variety of uses. The protection of cells and tissues against oxidation and injury from unstable molecules, pollution, and fats may also be the basis for the prevention of aging and many chronic diseases. Claims about vitamin E's role in preventing premature aging and promoting longevity are big areas of investigation for vitamin E researchers. These claims are often made and with some good reason. Aging, tissue degeneration, and skin changes may be brought about by the damage that free radicals cause to cells unprotected by antioxidant nutrients in the body.

Rosemary Medicinal qualities

Posted on 18 March 2014

Rosemary Kills > 90% of Cervical Cancer & Liver Cancer Cells In Vitro: The essential oil of the common herb rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) was shown in this lab study to potently reduce the viability of two types of human ovarian cancer cells: (SKOV-3) by up to 94% and HO-8910 by up to 90%. In addition, the essential oil also reduced the viability of liver cancer cells (Bel-7402) by 90%, all after 48 hours of treatment.

Rosemary contains the active compounds alpha-pinene, beta-pinene and 1,8-cineole, all of which are active against #cancer, but interestingly the whole essential oil was more effective against each cancer than any individual compound alone. #Rosemary is a herb which is native to the Mediterranean region and used extensively in cuisine there.

Some researchers have theorized that this could help explain the lower incidence of cancer there compared to the rest of Europe or the USA / Canada (for example, the rate of cancer incidence in Greece is only 51% of that in the USA - GLOBOCAN 2012 data). Rosemary is now being extensively studied for its anticancer potential and has already shown awesome results and promising activity against breast, postate and colon cancer.

Remember to get your eyelash and brow tint before you go away for Christmas especially when swimming and travelling, this will save time and worrying about mascara in the water.  It will also give you a fresh summer look.

Our mineral foundations are also a sunblock, keep this in mind while out in the sun.
